Cultural Heritage: a source of resilience and learning through digital education

An Erasmus+ project, the project aim is to support VET (Vocational Education and Training) in enhancing its responsiveness to labour market needs for recovery and reconstruction after the COVID-19 pandemic; VET trainers in developing these skills through innovative pedagogical approaches; young learners (14 – 30 years old) in performing new roles in the digital era and becoming resilient and future-ready for their personal and professional life. The focus will be on immaterial and material heritage and how it can be used.
The project will develop a course curriculum for a digital and hybrid course as well as a digital learning game which will also be tested.

The consortium consists of 8 partners from Italy, Ireland, Croatia, and Lithuania besides NCK. The coordinating partner is CIOFS – FP Piemonte, an Italian regional NGO specializing on VET training and guidance. The partners have different competencies such as employment centres, digital education companies, a tourism research institute and heritage institutions. Besides NCK, the heritage competences within the project are mainly covered by the Italian institution Fondo Ambiente Italiano.

The project started in January 2022 and is foreseen to end in June 2024.
NCK has main responsibility for a training course for VET trainers which will be arranged in Östersund in the autumn of 2023, with 7 participants.
