Evaluation and Studies

We can support you with independent evaluations of projects or educational activities. Together with you, we develop a framework for evaluation questions, methodological choices, and implementation. We have experience with a variety of data-collection methods, such as document analysis, individual and group interviews, and surveys. Among others, we have carried out such assignments for Jamtli and Kalmar County Museum.

We also conduct different types of studies, such as research reviews, knowledge reports, organisational analyses, and feasibility studies. We have previously produced research overviews on heritage learning themes for the City of Gothenburg, the Swedish National Heritage Board, and Den Gamle By. We have carried out organisational analyses for, among others, The association Gamla Östersund and Sundsvall Museum, examining current conditions as well as development needs and opportunities.

We have extensive experience writing project applications for both national and international calls and can assist with everything from acting as a sounding board to leading and coordinating a complete application process.

Process and Workshop Leadership

We lead development processes for organisations, for example in relation to educational platforms and strategies, which we have done at the Naval Museum in Karlskrona and the Bohuslän Museum.

We have investigated how Östersund City Museum can develop, and we are currently leading a process to shape a vision and strategy to support this work.

We act as moderators or facilitators for both small and large groups, onsite and online. We take on such roles regularly at our own meetings, conferences, and in our projects across various Nordic and European contexts. Recently, we served as moderators at the regional heritage conference Samling kring lägerelden and led a digital development workshop within the European network Lifelong Learning in Open Air Museums (LLOAM).

Courses and Lectures

We offer lectures on cultural heritage and learning. At the moment, we are working extensively with topics such as intangible heritage, place development, cultural environment learning, minorities and Indigenous peoples, and the analytical framework Generic Learning Outcomes. We can also tailor lectures, courses, and workshops to your needs.

The course Participation and Learning in Museums, commissioned by NTNU – the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, is held over one week at our premises in Östersund, next time in spring 2026. For many years we have offered a course in heritage learning for NTNU master’s students, combining theory and practice.
